About the Speakers

Andrew Koch

Andrew Koch is an environmental engineer with 7 years of experience in the dairy industry. He earned his Bachelor of Science in biochemistry molecular biology from University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, and recently completed a master’s degree in project management from the University of Wisconsin Platteville. He currently works at Sargento Foods Inc.

His professional passion lies in wastewater treatment. He has led a variety of projects from permitting and treatment system optimization to emergency repairs. He most enjoys finding sustainable solutions that align with environmental best practices. Beyond the professional realm, him immersed in activities that fuel his adventurous spirit – from reading and camping to canoeing, hunting, and hiking. He calls picturesque Plymouth, Wisconsin, home, a place that complements his love for the outdoors.

Andrew is eager to connect, share insights, and explore new opportunities within the environmental engineering sphere and how they relate to project management.

Jessica McConnell

Jessica McConnell is a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville with a Master of Science in Project Management. She completed courses including Organizational Change Leadership, Project Scope Management, and Project Management Capstone. Jessica also received her Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology Management with an emphasis in Building Construction Management from the University of Wisconsin Platteville.

Jessica is currently a lecturer at UW-Platteville teaching in the Construction Management department. She teaches classes in commercial planning and design, as well as construction computer applications. Prior to her return to the classroom, Jessica gained experience in the industry by working as a drafting manager in residential construction.

Jessica is from southwest Wisconsin where she and her husband own a cattle trucking company. She enjoys traveling across the state to support her son, Brady, who plays travel baseball and shows dairy cattle.
